Naznin from New Jersey

Naznin comes from the inner city where dreams of higher education are usually an illusion. As a minority, she had many obstacles to overcome. Nonetheless, she is currently attending college as a biological sciences major with the overall goal of attending medical school to become a cardiologist.

Leah from Mississippi

Leah is majoring in Pharmaceutical Science and is also active in the Marching Band, Campus Crusade for Christ, and the Alpha Delta Chapter of the Phi Mu Sorority. Her goal is to receive her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree and give back to her community through her career in Pharmacy.

Chelsa from Mississippi

In addition to being a KFC Colonel's Scholar, Chelsa is also a Presidential Scholar. She is also a proud member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. Upon college graduation, she hopes to continue on to medical school to become a hematologist. Future plans also include marriage and a family.

Milan from Ohio

Milan is majoring in Biological Science. He is involved in several community service programs including volunteering at the hospital and working with the Rainbow Table Food Service. Milan is determined and focused to attend medical school so he can help children who suffer from life threatening illnesses.

Tranell from Georgia

Tranell is a graduate of the Class of 2007. He is currently attending college and majoring in business. It is his goal to own his own business so he can help deserving students pay for college, the same way the KFC Colonel's Scholars Program has helped him.

Alysha from Texas

Born in California and raised in Texas, Alysha is the youngest of six children. She is currently studying culinary arts and psychology and hopes to own a restaurant and become an industrial-organizational psychologist. She enjoys children dancing, music, and food.

Odora from South Carolina

Odora is majoring in secondary education with a concentration in social studies and a minor in political science. She eventually wants to become a high school government and economics teacher and later a high school guidance counselor.

Bright from Ohio

Bright is majoring in Marketing and enjoying her time at college. Her inspiration for following a Marketing major was influenced by her viewing of the movie "What Women Want." In her spare time she enjoys reading, playing sports and, of course, watching movies!

Jason from Michigan

Graduating high school in 2007, Jason is currently studying Political Science and International Study with a German minor. Upon completion of his education, he hopes to work in the state or federal government in a foreign relations role.

Saamia from Virginia

Saamia is a pre-med and international relations major. After completing medical school, it is her goal to work for Doctors Without Borders working for the underprivileged. She is currently involved in a project called "The Forgotten Future" in which she is raising money for orphans in India and Pakistan.

Keylann from Mississippi

Keylann graduated with honors from a prestigious Catholic High School in Mississippi. In addition to his high academic achievements, he was also active in sports and participated in community service activities. Currently he is a university student majoring in pharmacy.

Amanda from Wisconsin

Amanda sends greetings to all Kentucky Fried Chicken lovers. She is the oldest of a family with 11 children. When not studying, Amanda can be found reading, drawing, running, or playing Halo with her siblings. Her goal in life is to thoroughly enjoy it and to do the best she can at whatever she tackles.

Colonel’s Scholars is a program of the Kentucky Fried Chicken Foundation, an independent 501©(3) charity funded by KFC, its employees, franchisees and KFC patrons and seeks to provide high school students scholarship resources to attend post-secondary schools within their states of residence.
